Welcome to Tijuana: Mexico Protests

Around 10,000 demonstrators marched in protest of Mexico's president-elect Enrique Peña Nieto and the country's governmental corruption in Tijuana, Mexico on July 7, 2012, as part of a nation-wide protest. Many of the participants were members of Mexico's growing {quote}Yo Soy 132{quote} student movement, named after the Twitter hashtag #YoSoy132. The march began and ended at a traffic circle known as {quote}Glorieta Cuauhtémoc,{quote} named after Aztec ruler Cuauhtémoc, in downtown Tijuana.
